Spring TOPS (Special Needs)
SPRING TOPS
TOPS is a Glen-Ed Sports Association soccer program for young people with disabilities. TOPS and Glen-Ed are members of the Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA), who is a member of the US Youth Soccer (USYS).
This program is open to any boy or girl with a disability, ages 5-21. It is designed to bring the excitement and fun of playing soccer to players who traditionally have not had a place in the youth soccer system. Games are played in Edwardsville IL at Glen-Ed East at Plummer Family Park or Glen-Ed West at SIUE. Both locations in Edwardsville (Madison County) and not far from exits off I-55 (East facility) and I-270/I-255 (West facility).
Glen Ed West at SIUE - 3601 Stadium Dr, Edwardsville, IL 62025
Glen Ed East at Plummer Family Park - 3501 Sports Pk Dr, Edwardsville, IL 62025
TOPS is free of charge to all these very special children. The program is privately funded by Glen-Ed soccer through the generous donations of individuals and grants.
The Glen-Ed TOPS program is part of the USYS TOPSoccer family. TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a recreational sports program for children and adults with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities that is offered throughout the country through local USYS-affiliated soccer clubs. TOPSoccer provides our members with an opportunity to play soccer in a uniquely structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive, and inclusive.
